Earth like Planet

written by David Bersson

Liber AL, Chapter I verse 50.
There is a word to say about the Hierophantic task. Behold! there are three ordeals in one, and it may be given in three ways. The gross must pass through fire; let the fine be tried in intellect, and the lofty chosen ones in the highest. Thus ye have star & star, system & system; let not one know well the other!

Liber AL, Chapter II, verse 78.
Lift up thyself! for there is none like unto thee among men or among Gods! Lift up thyself, o my prophet, thy stature shall surpass the stars. They shall worship thy name, foursquare, mystic, wonderful, the number of the man; and the name of thy house 418.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law

With the discovery by the scientist Xavier Delfosse and others of an earth like planet in the constellation of Libra we have many discussions in many circles whether the interpretation of what is meant in Liber AL, Chapter III, verse 4 is directed toward colonization. Certainly, such an interpretation has thought provoking possibilities; leading to various problems that will be encountered "Unto Nuit". Shall we break this problem down somewhat and look at it with new perspective?

Yes, let's begin.

Breaking a problem down to the lowest common denominator to observe carefully the root of the hypothesis and to develop a scientific hypothesis is the point being raised in this essay. Note that a scientific hypothesis is not the same as a scientific theory whereas with a hypothesis we have living data as observation; and scientific theory could even be what we call science fiction. Quantum Mechanics is of course laced with theory and observation so this is not as easily defined; and one can get a bit carried away on the separation between scientific theory and hypothesis.

The problem I presented to a student was thus.
"If you were placed naked upon an uninhabited planet what age could you bring humanity to?" (For example, could you at least get us to an age where basic machines such as the wind mill, the watch and the telescope were created with skill and intelligence.)

Most certainly, most of us could at least create a bow and arrow, make fire, create a log cabin, a boat, a wind mill and even struggle to basic mining operations to make a basic knife or sword. With the blacksmith skills recreated certainly in a year's time this uninhabited planet could be on its way to developing a civilization where something as complex as the airplane, the watch and the clock would be reinvented in less than a decade.

This student; finding a diversion from his ordinary perceptions of intellectual reality managed to whimper out, "I'd bring the magical alphabet.", in hopes of impressing me on how dedicated he would be to preserving mystical traditions. He failed to tell me what he thought the magical alphabet was although I might point out that English is the tongue of the Book of the Law; and simply knowing this would suffice. Did he mean enochian, Celtic, Hebrew or something else? Did he mean Liber 777?

Yes, it does command us in Liber AL, Chapter II, verse 78 to "Lift up thyself!" and "surpass the stars" and in order to lift off to the stars you'll need rockets to overcome earth's gravity which brings us to a new and fresh interpretation of this line commanding us to space travel.

Well, civilization would eventually awaken again if we were set down on an uninhabited planet; even if all we did was record our language; and create drawings of what was; and write as much as possible about the lifestyle of our previous existence. It is therefore language itself that creates a civilization from scratch.

Since this student did not carry my point far enough; and we left the conversation up in the air; I'll add another factor to this equation. "What if we were set down upon an uninhabited planet; and had only the Book of the Law?" (We assume that we are colony of four or five hundred to start humanity's attempt at civilization over again on a brand new planet.)

The reestablishment of mechanical engineering and geometry would be "the cube in the circle". The reestablishment of basic machines would be "the axle of the wheel". Gold and silver mentioned in the Book of the Law reestablish mining. Swords mentioned returns the skills of a blacksmith. Liber AL, Chapter III, verse 41 recreates capitalism. "victorious armies" begins a new military and so on.

I give this essay which should stimulate intelligent discussion on this subject among Us; and even lead to new interpretations of the Law of Θελημα based on the discovery of this new earth like planet.

Love is the law, love under will
