Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
Recently I have aspired and written a unique Adoration Unto Nuit. Writing an essay, poem or a ritual of any sort is a magickal gesture which has a certain effect on its composer. This effect is a karmic recoil, we are invoking and awakening the activity of magick forces within that are eventually going to benefit us. That is one reason behind the encouragement of an aspirant by his or her instructor to write, the student must make his own discoveries and develop his own unique techniques on the path of the Great Work. So was I inspired to write this essay after having written and practiced my own Adoration Unto Nuit.
Each Aspirant must write his or her own Adoration Unto Nuit for the reasons described above. What is then the purpose and meaning behind the warning in the Book of the Law concerning an Adoration Unto Nuit? Master Therion has once written in Book 4 that a magician rarely steps outside of his circle and his very life is a form of a dramatic ritual. Therefore we can understand that not only our daily magickal practices are to be directed Unto Nuit ending with an Adoration Unto Nuit but our lives and all our experiences are to be Unto Nuit.
Hadit is the Center of all Experiences and Nuit is an object of that experience. When an Adept reaches the Threshold of the Abyss he has to surrender all that he is and all that he has in order to cross the gap between Man and God. If his life has not been Unto Nuit it has been a waste and he becomes what in our system is called a Black Brother. The magician has got to realize firmly that all which he becomes and all that he obtains through various incarnations, through ordeals and initiations has to be given up some day. He who realizes this is truly fearless and discriminates not between any experiences whatsoever. It is useless therefore to try to "brake" the spirit of a true Aspirant by tortures or blackmail or what not else. It will only make him stronger for all his experiences are directed Unto Nuit.
We realize now the importance of this instruction and warning. The ego trembles before death for it fears dissolution and loosing itself utterly in the Body of Nuit. Love is total annihilation of the ego. The problem of Black Brothers is thoroughly explained in Liber 418, they are those who shut themselves from Love fearing annihilation.
On another hand, being unto Nuit will indeed relieve the magician from all the pain. Being dedicated Unto Nuit and in Love with the Omnipresent Goddess of Night, experiences no matter of what kind are a Service to Hadit Unto Nuit and thus the magician is always glad in the joys of Her Love. To the commoner this magician will seem a Fool who lives totally unreasonable lifestyle without considering that magician is much superior for him to see and understand the magician's behavior.
"Obey my prophet! follow out the ordeals of my knowledge! seek me only! The the joys of my love will redeem ye from all pain. This is so; I swear it by the vault of my body; by my sacred heart and tongue; by all I can give, by all I desire of ye all."

We are a mere mortals, if we do not aspire Unto something higher then ourselves yet of our very Selves, if we do not exceed stretching forth like beautiful flowers to the sun we dry up and decay "if the ritual be not ever unto me". With Love we are able to uplift ourselves in joyous union of mortality with immortality and become proud and mighty among men! Our Beloved Goddess, the Love of our whole lives is manifested in each and every man & woman! Our hearts are then filled with pure love and the serpent flame therein, loving and caressing a woman Loving your priestess and knowing that she is a manifestation of Goddess Nuit!
Even though I am writing it now in the speech of men, there is no way one can understand those glad words without Loving our Beloved Goddess. Each Aspirant must therefore compose his own Adoration Unto Nuit from the very core of his heart and breath his life unto this mysterious incantation and charm of Love.
As we advance we discover for ourselves more and more mysteries of the Book of the Law, subtle keys to life which gives us understanding and fills us with joy!
